Straight teeth. We read about it all the time, see it on tv and in magazines. What used to be associated with horror pictures of metal mouths and geeks is now a thing of the past when it comes to orthodontic treatment. A lot of people still feel orthodontic treatment is only for kids but there has been a growing trend across the world for adult braces. Perhaps you had a brace as a child but you are noticing your teeth are not as straight as they used to be.

Or perhaps you have an important event in your life coming up and would like to enhance your smile for it? Whatever the reason may be short term orthodontic treatment could be the answer for you.

What is short term orthodontics?
This is designed to enhance the appearance of your front teeth and consists of wearing clear removable or fixed tooth coloured braces giving an almost minimal visibility. Treatment can last as little as 4 weeks up to several months depending on individual cases.

What is the difference between this and conventional orthodontics?
If you have a misaligned jaw or bite then conventional orthodontics is appropriate for you. Treatment times can also last up to 18-24 months with conventional orthodontics. As part of your consultation you will be advised which treatment is best for you.

How often do I need to attend for appointments?
This is dependent on which type of brace you are receiving but this is normally every 2-4 weeks.
